Campus Sexual Violence Advocate

Pilar Montenegro is an employee with Peace Over Violence, who has partnered with Caltech's Equity and Title IX Office, to offer free services to undergraduate and graduate students, staff and faculty. Pilar is one of your confidential resources, who is available for private conversations. She is also a trained professional who is here to listen and help you find options that are appropriate and specific to your needs. Pilar can answer any questions about the reporting process, on campus or with police, explain survivor rights and address any physical or emotional safety concerns you might be experiencing. She is here as your confidential source for emotional support, validation, and advocacy while placing your needs first.

As Pilar is a confidential resource, any communications you have with her or with other advocates at Peace Over Violence, are not shared with the Equity and Title IX Office or anyone else. If you wish to make a report to the Equity and Title IX Office or other Caltech resource, you must do that separately.
